Prof. Christian Mardin

Prof. Dr. med. Christian Mardin is senior physician in the department of ophthalmology at Erlangen University Hospital. He works on imaging of the retina and optic nerve in glaucomas. Another scientific focus are biomarkers in post-COVID syndrome and other infection-associated autoimmune diseases such as ME/CFS.

He is a co-applicant of the reCOVer and disCOVer projects, which were funded by the BMBF, the DFG and the Free State of Bavaria. As part of the Post-COVID Center, Prof. Mardin examines changes in the retina and optic nerve using OCT angiography.
